The Amazon and the Barbarian: A Love Story

It was a time before the time we know now. A group of six, chosen for their particular skills, embarked on a journey. Among them was a young barbarian king named Lugash. Lugash's people settled beside a dam near the Place Where Ashes Fell, North of the nearest township. A trained warrior, he was amazingly adept at bashing opposition and lifting heavy objects. Incidentally, it was also well-known that King Lugash could hunt squirrels with little more than a sandal as a weapon, but that is another story for another time.

On this journey, the barbarian king became acquainted with an Amazon named Anastacia. Anastacia was the only living daughter to Donnalynne, the chief healer of their tribe at Fieldsedge. Though the Amazonian loved her tribal home, she knew that she must seek her fortune elsewhere. She kissed her mother goodbye, promising to bring her family honor and prosperity on her journey. It was then that she joined up with this band of roving warriors. It was there that she met King Lugash. It was here that their story began...

Okay, so it was hardly a time before times. Lucas and I actually met nearly seven years ago and we were anything but warriors. We were actors in a white van doing children's theater. Lucas isn't really a barbarian, though some might contest that he looks quite fierce when in full beard; and amazonian is hardly the description of a 5'6 white chick who spends a good deal of her time writing and playing video games.

But we did fall in love. We got married. We even have a place to call our own. I've started this blog to record our story and to share our lives with anyone who finds themselves intrigued. My name is Stacie Rearden Hall and my husband is Lucas N. Hall and we are actors living in the Richmond, VA area. Welcome to our lives.
